Editorial policy

How Fonts Mania decides what to publish, who is accountable for it, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Who is responsible

Rajesh Chauhan is the editor and is accountable for everything published, including guest and sponsored pieces. Staff articles are credited to Fonts Mania Editorial. Every article names its author and shows its publication and last-updated dates.

Independence and money

Sponsored articles are paid placements. They are labelled "Sponsored" above the headline and in the page markup, their links carry rel="sponsored", and the sponsor chooses the subject but not the facts: the editor reads and can amend or decline any sponsored piece. Sponsors do not influence editorial articles or reviews, and cannot buy a rating, a ranking, or a followed link.

Guest contributions are unpaid in either direction. They are labelled, edited for accuracy, and their outbound links are nofollow under the link policy.

Reviews

Reviews follow a published method: each states what was checked and on what date, rates on a fixed scale, and never links to the reviewed subject with a followed link. A subject cannot pay to be reviewed, to change a rating, or to have a review removed. Factual corrections are always welcome.

Accuracy and corrections

Claims about how platforms, standards or models behave are checked against a source or a reproducible test before publication. When we are wrong, we correct the article in place, update its modified date, and note the correction at the end of the piece. Corrections can be sent to hello@fontsmania.com.

Tools and assistance

Drafts and research may use software assistance, including language models. That does not change the standard: every published claim is checked by a person, and the editor is accountable for the result. The generators on this site are entirely deterministic and process nothing you type on any server.

What we do not do

  • Publish articles unrelated to text, typography or the systems that process them.
  • Sell followed links, or accept payment to alter a review or its rating.
  • Run undisclosed promotion. A piece found to contain it is removed.
  • Invent authors, credentials, testimonials or "studies".
